The head of State described as a pleasure the meeting with Samper, to whom he reiterated Cuba’s unrestricted support for peace in Colombia.
According to the Presidency of the Republic, Díaz-Canel also acknowledged the efforts made by the prominent politician in favor of the integration of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Samper arrived in Havana on April 27 to attend the 2nd International Congress on the imbalances of the world, the urgencies of peace and development and the need for a New International Economic Order (NIEO).
On Monday, Samper participated in the inauguration of the event and in its first panel, dedicated to assess the state of the NIEO.
