The head of Cuban diplomacy pointed out on his X profile that during this period, the perpetrator of the acts has not been sentenced either, and warned that impunity encourages crime.
On April 30, 2020, in the early hours of the morning, the citizen of Cuban origin Alexander Allazo fired 32 projectiles from a semi-automatic rifle at the diplomatic headquarters, endangering the lives of ten officials who were in the building.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident and it only caused material damage to the building; however, the White House opted for silence instead of rejecting the incident, which was considered serious by Cuba.

On September 24, 2023, the Cuban Embassy in Washington was hit by the second terrorist attack, when an individual threw two Molotov cocktails from the sidewalk at the perimeter fence of the facility, hitting the façade of the building.
