The project includes a 525-meter-long tunnel, a new traffic circle, four avenues, two gardens, and a novel street lighting system.
Eight relief sculptures depicting the greatness of Syria’s civilization decorate the tunnel, the country’s first experience of so-called Tunnel Art.
Several hospitals, including the Pediatric and Teaching Hospitals, markets, and official and educational institutions are located at the site.
In a statement to journalists after the inauguration, the Chief Executive said that the project cost was estimated at almost five million dollars, and was fully implemented by national leaders.
He promised other major services and development projects in agriculture, industry, and tourism.
Syria is strong, with its people, army, and leader, and it will go forward in reconstruction processes, the head of government assured.
