According to the official Wafa news agency, six citizens were killed and an undetermined number injured in an early morning attack on a house in the southern city of Rafah, where more than one million people are sheltering.
Eight others were killed in two similar incidents in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
Wafa noted that warships also opened fire with heavy machine guns on the fishermen’s port in Gaza City, in the north of the enclave.
The Israeli army also attacked the Al-Mughraqa area in the center of the Strip.
Based on official data, since the beginning of the new cycle of violence, on October 7, more than 34,000 people have been killed in the territory and another 77,000 wounded.
The new incursions coincide with the indirect talks between Hamas and Israel to reach a cease-fire and exchange prisoners, as well as to allow the entry of a greater volume of aid into Gaza.
Benjamin Netanyahu’s government threatened the Islamist militia to storm Rafah if the talks failed, despite the worldwide rejection of a military operation against the overcrowded city.
