Kafka with cuban coffee in the Month of Europe in Cuba

Havana, Apr 26 (Prensa Latina) As part of the activities of the Month of Europe in Cuba, next April 30, the activity Kafé with Kafka, dedicated to the centenary of the death of the famous Czech writer, Franz Kafka, will be held in this capital.

The gathering will recreate stories of his life and readings of his works, accompanied by a Cuban coffee.

The evening will be hosted by Cuban writer José Miguel Sánchez (Joss), at the Arthaus Cultural Centre, in El Vedado municipality.

Born in Prague in 1883, Kafka pioneered the fusion of realist and fantastic elements. His work, written in German, is considered one of the most influential in the 20th-century literature.

His legacy includes novels such as The Trial (1925), The Castle (1926), and The Metamorphosis (1915), as well as numerous short stories, epistles, and personal writings.

He died on June 3, 1924 in Kiering, Austria, and to his figure is devoted this tribute entitled Kafé with Kafka, included in the program of the Month of Europe in Cuba taking place in several provinces until May 9.

This cultural testimony has a multicultural and multinational character and takes place under the motto United in diversity, while the artistic program is designed to highlight the European cultural links with Cuba.
