The first activities are taking place at the Victoria Ocampo Hall of the La Rural Exhibition Center, and the public could enjoy the work of authors from Argentina, Chile, Portugal, Uruguay, China, Ireland, and Peru, among other nations.
The Festival will last until Sunday, April 28, and is dedicated to poets José Luis Mangieri and Joaquin O. Giannuzzi.
Over 1,500 exhibitors from 40 countries are participating in the Book Fair until May 13, with Lisbon as a guest of honor.
According to a press release from the organizers, the event expects to become “a city of books, with more than 45,000 square meters of exhibition space.
