The event, which will be held both face-to-face and virtually at the Tryp Habana Libre hotel, summons researchers, professionals, officials, teachers, students and specialists related to meteorology and climatology to analyze the impact of extreme hydrometeorological phenomena.

The 12th Cuban Congress of Meteorology, the 5th National Meeting on the History of Meteorology and the 2nd ‘Benito Viñes Marturell in Memoriam’ Congress on Tropical Hurricanes will take place as part of this year’s agenda.

There will also be a Congress on pollution and chemistry of the atmosphere, a Climatology Congress, as well as the 2nd Symposium on Agroecology and Resilience to Climate Change, among other events.

The agenda will also include debates on Marine Meteorology, Weather Forecasting and Aeronautical Meteorology.
