Wechat informed that Wang Xiubin, commander of China’s Southern Theater Command, met with France’s joint commander for the Asia-Pacific zone and the armed forces in French Polynesia.
The two officers agreed to establish a dialogue mechanism between the theaters of operations of their respective armies.
According to Wang Xiubin, the deal aims to deepen mutual trust and cooperation between the two armed forces and safeguard regional security and stability.
The 19th Western Pacific Naval Symposium Forum was held in Qingdao, China, from April 21 to 24.
Organized by the Chinese Navy, the event was attended by more than 180 high-level delegates from 29 countries, including Russia, Australia, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
