The incident occurred on Monday, when Harris was due to leave Joint Base Andrews, as explained by the head of communications for the Secret Service, Anthony Guglielmi, in a statement, cited by The Hill newspaper.
According to the report, the agent “began exhibiting behavior that his colleagues found distressing.
“The officer was removed from his assignment while medical personnel were summoned.” Harris traveled to Wisconsin on Monday from Joint Base Andrews, outside Washington, DC, but was still at her residence when the incident was reported.
The security staff member will receive medical attention and additional evaluation in accordance with established protocols, to later determine whether or not she can return to her position.
