The spokeswoman explained that Türkiye Airlines’ refusals to board Russians on flights from Istanbul to Latin America are closely related, first of all, to the entry rules imposed by these countries, so the airline follows the rules of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Since the end of past February, Türkiye Airlines has not admitted passengers from some countries, including Russian citizens, on its flights from Istanbul to different destinations including Argentina, Brazil and Mexico as well as many other Latin American countries.
Sometimes transit is denied for lack of luggage or because no visa stamp is seen in travellers´ passport, but there have also been cases of apparently unmotivated refusals.
