More powdered milk from US friendship group for Cuban hospitals

Washington, Apr 25 (Prensa Latina) Another batch of 1,650 pounds of milk have reached hospitals in Cuba, thanks to "Leche pa'Cuba's" (Milk for Cuba) campaign that currently encourages the Bridges of Love movement in the United States and the Code Pink pacifist organization.

This modest contribution, which has already in Cuba, was destined for the Maternity and Children’s Hospital in the Havana municipality of 10 de Octubre and Santa Cruz del Norte, in western Mayabeque province, activist Carlos Lazo told Prensa Latina.

The donation of milk resulted from the support and cooperation of Cuban emigrants and US citizens who oppose the US blockade against Cuba and are fighting to build bridges of love between the two countries, the Seattle-based professor stressed via WhatsApp.

Lazo anticipated that the coming donation of “Leche pa’Cuba” would be “shortly for Las Tunas and Granma, the only two provinces we have left to reach with this campaign.”

He said the aim is evident: “They will continue to build those bridges of love and bring powdered milk to the island.”
