The diplomat, who is concurrent for the countries of the Eurasian area, stressed to Prensa Latina that the event is a propitious showcase to show the benefits of the Caribbean nation’s destinations for the enjoyment of those who visit them.

Leon said that during the tour of the stands, the vice president of the Kazakhstan Tourism Industry Committee, Nurtas Karilbayev, arrived at the Cuban booth, where he received a brief explanation of the development of tourism in the country and the actions to attract more visitors.

The Cuban stall was also visited by representatives of local travel agencies, as well as participants interested in learning about the possibilities of traveling from this Kazakh city to attractive tourist destinations in Cuba.

“The decoration with suggestive images of the goodness with which nature has rewarded the island and the promotion of the Cuba Única campaign are some of the proposals that bring the Fair attendees closer to the Cuban exhibition,” Leon said.

An additional attraction was the presence of a group of Cuban nationals living in the Kazakh city, promoters of the national culture in this city, who enlivened the atmosphere with music, dances, and songs from the traditional repertoire of the Caribbean country.

The Almaty Tourism Fair, which is held annually, brings together many countries with tradition in this activity and is a magnificent space to promote tourism to Cuba, the Cuban ambassador to the Central Asian country, Oscar Santana, added.

Cuba presente en la Feria Internacional de Turismo de Kazajstán

Almaty, Kazajstán, 25 abr (Prensa Latina) Cuba esta presente en la Feria Internacional de Turismo de Almaty, Kazajstán, para mostrar la diversidad de sus propuestas, manifestó hoy la consejera de Turismo de la embajada cubana en Rusia, Cristina León.

La funcionaria, quien es concurrente para los países del área euroasiática, destacó a Prensa Latina que el evento es una vitrina propicia con vistas a mostrar las bondades de los destinos de la nación caribeña para el disfrute de quienes los visiten.

León precisó que durante el recorrido por los stands el vicepresidente del Comité de la Industria de Turismo de Kazajstán, Nurtas Karilbayev, llegó hasta el espacio de Cuba, donde recibió una breve explicación del desarrollo del turismo en el país y las acciones para atraer más visitantes.

Hasta el stand de la isla antillana también llegaron representantes de agencias de viajes locales, así como, participantes interesados en conocer las posibilidades de viajar desde esta ciudad kazaja hacia destinos turísticos atractivos de la mayor de las Antillas.

“La decoración con sugerentes imágenes de las bondades con que la naturaleza premió a la isla y la promoción de la campaña Cuba Única, es de las propuestas que acercan a los asistentes a la Feria a la exposición cubana”, especificó León.

Un atractivo adicional resultó la presencia de un grupo de connacionales residentes en la ciudad kazaja, promotores de la cultura nacional en esta urbe, quienes amenizaron el ambiente con música, bailes y canciones del repertorio tradicional del país caribeño.

La Feria de Turismo de Almaty, que se celebra anualmente, reúne a numerosos países con tradición de en esta actividad y constituye un magnífico espacio para promover el turismo hacia Cuba, detalló el embajador antillano en el país centroasiático, Oscar Santana.
