At a meeting with the Minister-Counselor of the Cuban Embassy in Colombia, Rogelio Martínez, that members of that movement discussed the need to include new members, especially young people, and acknowledging the importance of adding professionals who have graduated from the Latin American School of Medicine in Cuba.
They also agreed to take actions to support thoe events held in several regions of world on the last Sunday of every month to demand an end of the United States blockade against Cuba.
They decided to promote and campaign to organize donations of medicines, food and other products of which Cuba is deprived due to the tightening of the unilateral siege imposed by Washington.
Participants also discussed the importance of revitalizing cultural exchanges with Cuba and strengthening relations with the Association of Cuban Residents in Colombia.
During the meeting, they also renewed Cartagena’s twinning relationship with the city of Santiago de Cuba and promoted solidarity brigade trips to Cuba.
