As China takes on a leading role in technological innovation worldwide, it is increasingly necessary to shield intellectual property of our companies, Shen Changyu, head of China’s National Intellectual Property Administration, told the press.

The official stated that for the first time China had 24 companies among the top 100 science and technology groups at the end of 2023.

According to such a report, the top 100 science and technology clusters were concentrated in three regions (North America, Europe and Asia) and more specifically in two countries: China and the United States.

Over 6.4 million copyrighted works were registered in 2023, a year-on-year surge of 42.3%; 4,745 cases of pirating or intellectual property infringement were also resolved, according to the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
