The non-stop pelting rainfalls over the country saturated the soil, the rivers could cause floods triggering destruction of fields and houses, the digital newspaper Le National reported.
The entity considered that heavy rainfalls pose an environmental threat to the country in these times of crisis, as most of the State institutions are almost dysfunctional.
These rainfalls come at a time when some streets in Port-au-Prince and surrounding towns are full of barricades of all kinds, mud, tons of garbage and holes with water.
