Local press reported that the said agreement includes strengthening talks on trade relations and promoting cosmetic and personal hygiene products in Costa Rica.
The future ratification of the FTA will open new opportunities for exchange, commented organizers of the dialogue between the Chamber of Foreign Commerce of Costa Rica (CRECEX) and its Ecuadorian counterpart, ProEcuador (Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries).
The meeting will include business rounds and exhibitions of products such as cosmetics, personal hygiene, and absorbent products in key areas of Costa Rica, explained the executive director of CRECEX, Katherine Chaves.
Costa Rican entrepreneurs interested in exploring business opportunities will learn first-hand about Ecuadorian hair care items, natural deodorants, fragrances, soaps, natural repellents, body creams, balms, and industrial cleaning products, Chaves added.
The signing of the FTA between the two nations in March 2023 demonstrated the growth of Costa Rican exports of pharmaceutical products and electric batteries to Ecuador after less than a year of negotiations on the issue, declared the Minister of Foreign Trade, Manuel Tovar.
