Upon confirming his participation, Díaz-Canel stressed on his X profile the urgency of strengthening that integration mechanism, which the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, described as an unprecedented example of revolutionary solidarity.
The meeting in Caracas expects to include the presentation of the 2030 Strategic Agenda, recently announced by ALBA-TCP Executive Secretary Jorge Arreaza, to the delegates of the “Meeting for a World Social Alternative”, with five areas: economic, political, social, cultural, and communication.
The last ALBA-TCP Summit was held in December 2022 in Havana, Cuba, where participants reaffirmed the commitment to strengthen the bloc as an instrument for the union of peoples based on the principles of solidarity, social justice, cooperation, and economic complementarity.
