As part of its presentation at the Investment Roadshow 2024 event, which takes place in London from this day until Thursday, the South American nation will disclose initiatives in sectors such as transport, tourism, energy (mainly renewable), software and information technologies, and drinking water and sewerage.
Regarding the meeting, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (MINCIT), Germán Umaña, highlighted that this portfolio is working on the Single Window for Investment (VUI), which will be launched soon in its transactional stage.
“In it there is a space in which is unified, systematized and quantified that portfolio of investment projects, which we are promoting en bloc, as a country. We want investors to find these investment opportunities in a single digital space,” he said.
He also recalled that among the bets of the reindustrialization and foreign trade policies is to attract sustainable, inclusive and productive foreign investment, which transfers knowledge and technology, and promotes the creation of jobs and productive linkages.
During his visit to London, Umaña will attend a meeting with the Minister of State for International Trade, Greg Hands, and meetings with European and UK businessmen interested in Colombia are also planned.
In 2023, UK investment in the South American country reached 1,221 million dollars, an increase of nearly 45% compared to 2022, according to MINCIT data.
