The armed bandits attacked the midwifery school, the general hospital, the medical school, the pharmacy of the State University of Haiti, a hospital under construction, the chaplaincy of a health center, a church and the parish premises.
“The incidents include the disappearance of buses, the removal of solar panels and the looting of a cafeteria,” Le Nouvelliste newspaper commented.
The rectorate of the State University of Haiti reported that the damage needs to be assessed, but the damage is likely to be irreversible.
The gang members have already attacked the airport, the port, schools, universities, police stations, prisons, ministries, bank branches, community stores, the National Printing House, which made its first publication in 1804, and set fire to a 96,000 square meter warehouse in the free zone.
They also attacked private cars, a religious seminary, the first Baptist Church in Haiti, founded more than 180 years ago, and more than a dozen pharmacies, and in a demonstration that they are serious, they burned the house of the commander in chief of the Haitian National Police.
