The rally will begin at 15:30 hours, and the participants will march from the Congress building to Plaza de Mayo in this capital.
Similar actions will take place in other cities, while the University Teachers Federation will hold a strike.
The March was convened by the Trade Union Front of the National Universities, the Argentine University Federation representing more than two million students, and the Inter-University Council, which brings together the authorities of more than 50 higher education centers.
The General Confederation of Labor, the Mothers and Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo, the State Workers’ Association, the Justicialist Party, La Cámpora youth organization, the Radical Civic Union, the Argentine Workers’ Central (CTA), and the Central Workers of Argentina-Autonomous (CTA-A), among many other organizations, have also confirmed their participation.
Buenos Aires Province Governor Axel Kicillof will attend the march, and former President Alberto Fernández supported the initiative.
According to the organizers, the demonstration is expected to be massive, and the central act will take place at 18:00 hours, local time, at the plaza, where a joint press release will be read.
The University of Buenos Aires (UBA) recently declared a budgetary emergency and warned that it could only afford to stay open for a few months.
