The Western governments love to talk about democracy; however, they cannot stand it when someone says no to them because democracy in their concept is always saying yes to them, the head of State said at a meeting with the foreign minister of the self-proclaimed republic of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba.

In the president’s opinion, the policy of Washington and its allies is based on blackmail and the principle of divide and rule.

Regarding Russia’s support for Damascus, the president said that Moscow did not intervene to support the Syrian president or the Syrian Government but the people and protect Syria’s independence and international law.

It is naive to say that terrorists are local gangs but they are a global network with homogeneous ideologies and are present in Europe, Russia and other regions of the world, he added.
