After occupying Bogdanovka, the Russian troops improved their frontline positions and destroyed troops and equipment of the 53rd mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Krasnogorovka, the military institution announced on its Telegram profile.

The Russian forces also repelled two Ukrainian counterattacks near Chasov Yar and west of Krasnoye within the Donetsk borders.

The Defense Ministry lost up to 440 soldiers.

Meanwhile, units of the Central and West battlegroups inflicted 360 and 50 casualties on the enemy over the last day, respectively; the East battlegroup killed 100 soldiers, and the Dnieper group 50 others.

Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, to protect the population from “Ukrainian authorities; genocide,” according to President Vladimir Putin.
