The Festival is one of the main events during the Month of Europe in Cuba, which will merge the European and Cuban cultures until May 9 at several cultural events, and cinema is the protagonist.
Twenty-four of all 27 European Union countries were represented at the festival.
This year’s event coincided with the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Cuban Institute of Art and Cinematographic Industry (ICAIC).
Sunday’s screenings will close with the films “Dodo” (2022), the film that opened the Festival and co-produced by Greece, France and Belgium, and directed by Panos H. Koustras.
The French-Belgian movie “Rise” (2022), directed by Cédric Klapisch, will also close the event at the Riviera movie theater.
“Runner” (2021), by moviemaker Andrius Blazevicius and co-produced by Belgium, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic, and Noticiero ICAIC Latinoamericano (Latin American ICAIC Newsreel) No. 365 will close the program at the 23 y 12 theater.
