The National Electoral Council (CNE) informed that during this Friday they will take the ballots to 280 women and 329 men with physical disabilities of over 75% or senior citizens.
The head of the CNE, Diana Atamaint, insisted that the votes of these citizens will be counted at the end of the voting day on Sunday, April 21, when more than 13 million Ecuadorians inside and outside the country are called to the polls.
This Friday, the electoral silence is in force nationwide and if it is violated, there will be sanctions, although this does not apply to social media where messages are circulating with calls to vote for and against the questions proposed by President Daniel Noboa.
In addition, the Prohibition Law is in force, with which until 12:00, local time, on Monday, the sale, distribution and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
The Ministry of Defense, on its part, informed that 39 thousand military troops will be mobilized throughout the country to support the electoral process of this April 21.
