Raúl Castro greets DPRK on the birthday of Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, Apr 19 (Prensa Latina) The leader of the Cuban revolution, Raúl Castro, congratulated the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on the 112th anniversary of the birthday of the founder of that nation, Kim Il Sung, the state news agency ACNC reported today. In a message to Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party and chairman of the State Affairs Committee, Raul noted that relations between the two peoples, parties, and states "are founded on building a socialist society, defending national sovereignty and confronting the imperialist aggressions of the United States."

The Army General affirmed that these “are the pillars on which the close friendship between the Great Leader, Comrade Kim Il Sung, and the Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, was forged, and are the immovable principles that reinforce the special character of our relations”.

He also reiterated to the Supreme Commander of the DPRK Armed Forces the firm and unchanging support for strengthening the bilateral historical ties as well as the continuous development of the relations of solidarity, mutual support and cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples.

These days Kim Jong Un has received numerous congratulatory messages from world leaders and personalities on the occasion of the birthday of the Father of the People, as he is called here.
