Speaking on national television, the Chinese ambassador affirmed that cooperation between the two countries will thwart attempts to sabotage bilateral relations, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) informed.

He noted that the strategic importance of the bilateral relationship has increased with the evolving global landscape.

Jiang highlighted the transformative effect of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and underscored his country’s commitment to promoting the momentum of cooperation.

The Chinese diplomat added that with more than 25 billion dollars in direct investment and substantial infrastructure development, CPEC created thousands of jobs and facilitated significant progress in power generation and transportation infrastructure.

Beijing’s representative to Islamabad acknowledged the intertwined security interests of Pakistan and China and stressed the importance of a mutual exchange of ideas and experiences.
