At President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s regular press conference, the minister said that there was “quite a scandal” on Wednesday due to an error in a document sent by the commission to the board of directors, so the lawmakers decided to make the pertinent corrections.
“The session in commissions will be held again, it will be published again in the gazette, and this fundamental reform will be voted in the Chamber of Deputies on Monday to be subsequently discussed and, if necessary, hopefully approved in the Chamber of Senators,” she stated.
The official described as disastrous two reforms approved during previous administrations (1997 and 2007), and repeated that the current document is an initiative to vindicate the right of those who have worked all their lives, so that they can live this last stage with dignity.
