The general director of Havana Club International SA, Frenchman Cristian Barré, was in charge of presenting the Havana Club Maestro Grand Prize to the winning team, made up of bartenders Danos Minoudis and Andreas Giaprakas of Greece.
Around 600 bartenders from the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Czech Republic, China, Brazil and Cuba participated in the event, offering a true exhibition of creativity and skill in the cocktail industry.
The Cuban team won the public award, the Bartender Choice was in the hands of Spain, while the First Mastery award recognized Greeks and Spaniards and the Cuban Mastery was won by the Czech Republic.
Created in 1993 by the Cuba Ron company and the French group Pernod Ricard, the joint company Havana Club International currently exports its products to 125 countries; among them, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, Chile, Canada, Argentina and Mexico.
According to the digital publication Excelencias Gourmet, Havana once again hosted a high-level competition, which offered a unique opportunity to celebrate the culture around rum and cocktails, as well as innovation in this art.
