The residents in the Golan territory, occupied by Israel since 1967, affirmed in a press release that this immortal date will remain a shining beacon to guide all Syrians in the struggle for justice and sovereignty.
They expressed their rejection of the occupation and all expansionist and malicious plans by Tel Aviv to separate the Golan from the motherland.
The People’s Assembly, in turn, affirmed in a statement on this anniversary that the Syrian people have always been and will remain resistant to the projects of domination, hegemonism, and fragmentation.
We reiterate our absolute confidence and certainty of our steadfast people to mobilize their capabilities and energies, strengthen their solid national unity, and continue to confront terrorism and aggression to defend their sovereignty and independence, the statement said.
The ruling Arab Socialist Ba’th Party, in turn, affirmed that this struggle and sacrifice are part of the Syrian people’s culture and beliefs and are the most prominent features of the Syrian Arab personality in the past and present.
