Said entity announced on Facebook that Balseiro appeared at a press conference to report on the communication actions on occasion of the fifth anniversary of that State body, to be held on July 13; the CEN reported on its social networks.
According to information from the Cuban News Agency (ACN), at the meeting the CEN authorities highlighted the strategic dimension of communication for the correct development of present and future processes.
Balseiro offered details of the main activities undertaken by the entity as part of the electoral processes in order to fill vacant positions such as: the elections of the provincial governor and vice-governor in Matanzas, Villa Clara and Santiago de Cuba, set by the Council of State for this May 4, details the ACN.
The information indicated that Balseiro stressed confidence in the electoral authorities in charge of directing these processes with the usual quality and transparency, as was demonstrated once again on April 14 in the elections of 43 constituencies where, for one reason or another, the delegate position remained vacant.
The information adds that the head of the CEN highlighted the need to assume these processes with a special and intentional communication campaign, which allows explaining to the population, in understandable and simple language, the principles of the Island’s electoral system and how it responds in the first place to your interests.
The National Electoral Council emerged on July 13, 2019, following the approval that year of the Constitution of the Republic, with the mission of being the State body in charge of organizing, directing and supervising elections, popular consultations, plebiscites and referendums called in Cuba.
