On X, Alonso expressed his condolences to the family and loved ones of the artist, who passed away at the age of 84.

We express our deepest condolences to family, friends, colleagues and students of Ramona de Saá, great ballet dancer and professor, National Dance Award and National Award for Artistic Teaching.

Her deep imprint as an artist will live on, said Alonso.

ON X, the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) posted that Cuba loses a prominent ballet professor.

Her work gives prestige to creative and pedagogical movement and to the Cuban Ballet School. From UNEAC we mourn her death.
