The action aims to denounce the adjustment promoted by the Government of President Javier Milei, besides the attempts to dismantle this organization.

Participants will deliver to the CONICET authorities more than 1,000 letters of support sent by prominent figures, including several Nobel Prize winners, from more than 50 countries.

The initiative’s slogan is “World Embrace to Argentine Science.” Members of the Network of Authorities of Science and Technology Institutions and the State Workers’ Association will be present at the demonstration.

The rally was also called to condemn the dismissal of 140 CONICET workers, the reduction of doctoral scholarships from 1,300 to 600, the complex situation of several institutes, the risk of a brain drain, and the paralysis of strategic projects such as the construction of the CAREM-25 nuclear reactor.
