On March 22, a commando of armed men shot at a crowd gathered for a rock concert at the Crocus City Hall, northwest of Moscow, and set fire to the venue, causing, according to the latest official data, 145 dead and over 550 injured.
Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged that the attack was the work of radical Islamist’s, but surmised that it could be a link in a chain of operations carried out against Russia since 2014 “with the hands of the Neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv.”
According to the Russian Federal Security Service, after the attack the terrorists tried to flee towards the border between Russia and Ukraine. However, Ukraine flatly denied involvement in the attack.
