PCCh President Lautaro Carmona charged that the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba continues although the United Nations General Assembly, by an overwhelming majority, has voted against this unjust policy.

Furthermore, the United States, based on an imperialist and interventionist logic, has included Cuba on a list of countries that allegedly promote terrorism to justify its actions against the island and thus ensure different initiatives that seek destabilization, he said.

In his speech at the call for the 27th PCCh National Congress, the political leader welcomed the Give your grain of love for Cuba solidarity campaign, organized by graduates from the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM), with the support of the Gladys Marin Foundation.

He pointed out that if each party member joins the initiative, before July 26, a container might be sent to Cuba, a country that has generously given its contribution to others.
