The Anadolu Publishers Federation (AYF) organized the broadcast in the capital’s German Fountain in Sultanahmet Square, where they placed the inscription: We speak on behalf of those journalists murdered in Palestine.
The AYF leader, Sinan Burhan, supported by Türkiye’s Communications Director, Fahrettin Altun, cleared up that the action lacks any ideological motivation or internal political affiliation.
However, Burhan considered that 140 journalists became martyrs in Palestine and recalled that they were the voice of the Palestinian people and exposed to the world the terrorism practiced by Tel Aviv.
Plus, Altun pointed out that Türkiye has always been in favor of the Palestinian cause and the defense of innocent civilians.
There is an ongoing effort to obscure the truth, a systematic effort to hide it, and those who resist it are the journalists on the ground who are engaged in a just fight, he stressed.
Certainly, the Israeli propaganda is similar to the propaganda tactics used by fascists, the Turkish official denounced.
Local media outlets praise the statements by Tel Aviv of the alleged existence of Hamas members when carrying out armed assaults on hospitals full of patients and people who sought refuge from constant bombings in Gaza.
