The broad and rich collection gathers around 20,000 articles by authors from 194 countries and territories, in 145 languages, including culturally relevant documents about each member country of the organization, now available to students, specialists, and the public in general.
Contents from libraries and other cultural institutions of all regions appear, based on Unesco’s collaboration with 26 institutions belonging to 19 countries, including museums, universities, and national libraries of the largest Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish-speaking countries.
Images, photographs, newspapers, books, manuscripts, newspapers and magazines, maps, sound recordings, and films, can be consulted in this digital repository created to promote international and intercultural understanding and expand the variety of cultural content on the Internet.
