According to the Cuban Embassy to Seychelles, the document includes academic and cultural cooperation among students, teachers and specialists of the National Center of Art Schools of the Cuban Ministry of Culture and the National Institute of Culture, Heritage and the Arts of Seychelles.
The agreement, which will be in force for three years, was inked by the secretary general of the Seychelles Institute, David Andre, and Cuba’s Ambassador to that African country, Martha Hernandez.
Andre stressed at the ceremony the importance of the agreement, which also includes visits and meetings between the art schools of both countries and courses and training in different artistic disciplines.
It also comprises the promotion and participation of students in contests, festivals and other events and the exchange of specialized information and audiovisual materials.
Meanwhile, the Cuban ambassador stated that it will be a true satisfaction to promote the extraordinary richness of Creole culture in the nation and to share the experiences of Cuban artistic education.
The meeting was propitious to convey greetings from Cuba to the Government and people of Seychelles, on the 46th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, established on April 12, 1978.
