KCNA informed on Thursday that Kim, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army (KPA), warned of “the uncertain and unstable political-military situation surrounding our State” during a visit to the Kim Jong-il Military and Political Academy.
Speaking at the DPRK’s top military training center, the leader called on the nation to be “more prepared than ever for war. And not just to fight but to win, he stressed.
If the enemies take the option of military confrontation with the DPRK, we will destroy them without hesitation by mobilizing all means at our disposal, he warned.
Kim urged the Academy’s directors to train new military talents who are loyal to the Workers’ Party and capable of crushing the enemy with “ideological, mental, militant, moral, and tactical superiority,” the news agency reported.
Kim was accompanied by top military officers such as Pak Jong-chon, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, Defense Minister Kang Sun-nam, and Ri Yong-gil, Chief of General Staff.
