Ukrainian army used chemical weapons in Donetsk, Russia denounces

Moscow, Apr 10 (Prensa Latina) The Ukrainian Armed Forces used chemical weapons, presumably white phosphorus, near the city of Artiomovsk (aka Bakhmut), in Donetsk, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

According to the report released this Wednesday by the Sputnik news agency, the Ukrainian forces launched glass vials that contains a gas irritating to human mucous membranes, and which is supposedly white phosphorus.

The chemical causes coughing, upper respiratory tract burns, and is potentially fatal to humans.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces dropped the aforementioned glass jars using drones.

In this context, Russian law enforcement urges citizens to be careful with unknown objects, not to touch or destroy them.

On March 12th, Russia’s permanent representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Vladimir Tarabrin, announced Ukraine’s plans to launch terrorist attacks using an analogue of the BZ chemical weapon produced in the United States.
