Havanatur promotes in Italy new tourism offers to Cuba

Rome, Apr 10 (Prensa Latina) The Havanatur office in Italy launched in this capital the tourist offers currently promoting for Cuba, especially for the Cuban residents in this nation.

During the event held at the Cuban Embassy in Rome on Tuesday, Elizabeth Garcia, director of the Havanatur office in Italy, told Prensa Latina that the agency is offering this year new products to the market of this country, which “started in 2023” after a decline of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We also expect very positive results by 2024, García said. She added that a renewed interest is perceived by the Italian tourists visiting Cuba, one of their favorite international destinations, promoted in this nation by that agency that has been operating in Milan for 22 years.

“We are promoting an offer for Cuban residents abroad, with discounts ranging from 5.0 percent to 30.0 percent off,” she said, referring to tourism products, including hotel accommodations, excursions, tours, and car rentals, that can also be purchased for their relatives in Cuba.

Numerous representatives of tour operators and members of the community of Cuban nationals, including Lazaro Martin, coordinator of the associations in central and southern Italy, attended the activity, chaired by the Cuban Ambassador to Italy, Mirta Granda.

Granda stressed that these offers to Cubans living here “are part of the work we are doing as of the results of the 4th Conference on The Nation and Emigration held in Havana in November 2023” to strengthen ties between Cuba and its nationals abroad.

The director of the Havanatur office in Italy gave a detailed presentation of the services offered to the Cuban residents in this country.

Yanet Mora, tourism adviser at the Cuban Embassy in this country and organizer of the event, and Rita Vanini, a specialist from the agency’s office in Milan, spoke at the meeting.
