On X, the head of Government pointed out that the children’s day care centers arose from the initiative of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro, and heroine Vilma Espin.
Prime Minister Marrero highlighted the results of those who work in those facilities, “with great dedication” and keep alive “one of the most beautiful works of our Revolution”. Those centers, which receive children from early childhood, contribute to the integral formation of the little ones at home, creating habits, customs and rules of conduct that reinforce education at home.
Vilma Espin was in charge of organizing their creation, taking into account the teaching and pedagogical activities, according to each age, as well as favoring their comprehensive and multifaceted development, in addition to the socialization so important for early childhood education.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the operation of those facilities across the national territory was essential so that parents linked to strategic sectors could continue their work.
