The head of Russian diplomacy concludes a two-day visit to China focused on cooperation, multilateral dialogue, and international relations with priority in the United Nations, the BRICS group, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), G20, and other mechanisms.

Before meeting with Xi, the Russian foreign minister said in Beijing that relations with China have reached an unprecedented level, to which President Vladimir Putin’s re-election gives continuity.

After meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, the top diplomat added that the two sides are focused on high-level contacts because his diplomacy is a central element of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership.

Xi recently stated that China attaches importance to bilateral relations and is willing to maintain close communication with Moscow to promote the sustainable, healthy, stable, and in-depth development of a comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination.

Upon congratulating Putin on his re-election, the Chinese president underscored the excellent state of bilateral cooperation.
