As part of the launch of the Colombia-Venezuela Neighborhood and Integration Commission, taking place in the city of Cúcuta, some 570 kilometers north of Bogota, this Monday and Tuesday, the foreign minister assured that the same invitation was made to the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
“We hope that those observers can be selected shortly, this international monitoring body that will be welcome in Venezuela,” Gil said at a press briefing after meeting with his Colombian counterpart, Luis Gilberto Murillo.
Gil pointed out that the Venezuelan electoral process was one of the issues discussed during the meeting.
