The visit, which took place on Friday, is part of the celebrations on the 65th anniversary of ICAIC and welcomes the Russian Film Festival that is taking place at the Yara and Acapulco movie theaters in Havana until Sunday, April 7.
Studios Director Esther Hirzel and Deputy Director of Production Armando Alba welcomed the visitors, who toured some of the production areas, such as the one where the 3D animated series “Ciberdanz” is being created, and where they watched a fragment of that film.
They also visited the workshop of artist Pol Chaviano, where the delegation expressed interest in stop-motion works such as “Mi Taller” (My Workshop) and 3D works like “Ciberdanz,” which might participate in future festivals organized in Russia, according to the source.
Finally, the Russian delegation enjoyed taking some snapshots of Pol’s designs, such as “Praxinoscopio” (Praxinoscope).
ICAIC stated that this visit was aimed at strengthening ties and promoting future projects between both nations.
