According to diplomatic sources, the films “Inocencia” (Innocence) and “Habanastation” were part of the national and international screenings that have attracted movie enthusiasts to the movie theaters in this city in the state of Madhya Pradesh since April 1.
Before the screening of the Cuban feature films, at a ceremony presided over by Shriram Tiwari, director of the Department of Culture of Madhya Pradesh, Malena Rojas, third secretary of the Cuban Embassy in India, expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the event.
The diplomat praised the opportunity to continue to strengthen cultural ties between the two peoples, the Cuban Embassy noted.
She underscore the role of culture in the historic relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation that both countries have maintained for more than 60 years.
Rojas also expressed interest in exploring new opportunities for cooperation in this sector, especially with the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Tiwari, in turn, extolled the historic ties between Cuba and India, expressed interest in exploring new avenues of bilateral relations, and invited Cuba to participate in the Theater Festival that will take place in December 2024.
