Cuba’s foreign policy projections, which defend fair causes, are the main feature of the April edition of The Havana Reporter, which also recalls the Playa Girón revolutionary victory in 1961 – the first defeat of the U.S. imperialism in Latin America.
The progress Cuba has reached in the computerization process and the use of cellphones; an important meeting of creative women in Havana; the signing of agreements between Russia and Cuba to prioritize the supply of oil, wheat and fertilizers to the island, in addition to topics on solutions devised to problems related to electricity generation and an economic project in the Artemisa province, to favor female population, are also included in this edition.
On the Cuba-United States relations, this issue features statements by former Alabama treasurer John McMillan (2019-2021) and Deputy General Director of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs Johana Tablada, as well as the 3.7 million fine the United States imposed on the EFG Swiss Bank for allegedly violating Washington’s coercive measures against the island.
Interesting cultural and sport topics are also included in THR-4, which likewise features articles on the next meeting of Small Island States in Antigua & Barbuda and the tense situation Haiti faces.
