The standard bearer to the Palacio de las Garzas (seat of the Executive) for the Movimiento Otro Camino (MOCA) explained that in this direction the first task will be to strengthen the Security Council to ensure that it is not used politically, as he explained to the newspaper La Estrella de Panamá.
Lombana, who came third in the votes in the 2019 consultation when he ran for free postulation, asserted that in second place he will focus on the approval of the law of extinction of dominion so that the assets that are seized, belonging to drug traffickers, must be at the service of the State.
He also called for a program of purification and cleaning of the country’s security institutions, because they are corrupted by organized crime; also, he emphasized on removing the Financial Analysis Unit of the Presidency so that it may have autonomy, and to create the national authority for the investigation of corruption cases.
