Amirabdollahian issued a statement pointing out that after Israeli forces killed more than 33,000 Palestinians since last October, and as Israel prevents the arrival of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, international organizations must take action to stop the attacks.
The official asked that entities such as the United Nations Security Council and the International Criminal Court adopt preventive and punitive measures against the aggressor, who is trying to starve or displace the population of the Gaza Strip towards Jordan or the Sinai Desert, in Egypt.
The Minister also pointed out that the human tragedy experienced since the beginning of Israel’s aggression against the Palestinians, even massacring defenseless women and children, demonstrates the historical violation of the rights of the children of Ramallah and of international law.
Amirabdollahian stated that the anniversary is an opportunity for the world to express comprehensive and global solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people. He further said that it is a favorable context to reject and express disgust towards the usurping Zionist regime, condemn the supporters of that false and criminal system, and analyze the roots of the “old and painful Palestinian crisis”, which lies in the 75 years of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories, violating the fundamental, natural and legitimate rights of Palestine.
After confirming that the Palestinian issue is the most important issue for the Islamic world, Amirabdollahian assured that the Palestine crisis must be resolved to achieve sustainable peace and solidarity in the region and the rest of the world.
In his statement, the Foreign minister criticized the US government for supporting Israel with weapons in its aggression against Gaza, and called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to put more pressure on Tel Aviv to make it desist from its ruthless war.
