The document, presented by its leaders at the organization’s headquarters, reveals some of the actions the party plans to take if it wins in the Lok Sabha (Lower House of Parliament) elections, which will be held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, 2024.
According to media reports, the Congress, as it is also known, has promised a nationwide socio-economic caste census and subsequent constitutional amendments about the issue.
The party informed that the Congress manifesto was prepared after consultations nationwide and receiving suggestions through e-mails and its website. Its working committee met in March to draft the document accompanied by INC President Mallikarjun Kharge and other leaders, including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
