Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez wrote on his X profile that Washington is determined to deprive Cuba of these supplies, an unconventional warfare measure that violates international law and cruelly harms Cuban families.

Cuba lack financing, a persistent rise in hydrocarbon prices on the international market, and the harsh effects of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the US Government for more than six decades on the domestic economy.

That unjustifiable policy limits Cuba’s insertion into the world market and its access to products, raw materials, and inputs necessary to develop the economy, thus affecting the purchase of fuel.
